Normality and Aegis Isle [FU11]

Fortnightly update 11: 27.04.2020 to 10.05.2020

In this blog series, I share my fortnight-to-fortnight triumphs, and failures, as a writer. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Geetsly’s

I write scripts for the popular Star Wars YouTube channel Geetsly’s.

One video which I wrote the script for went up this fortnight. It was in response to S7E10 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

The Front

I write scripts for the popular World War II YouTube channel The Front.

We uploaded two videos this fortnight. The first was about the famous B-17 Flying Fortress the Memphis Belle.

And the second was about special forces in World War II.

#vss365

I write 250-character “stories” using the #vss365 word prompts on Twitter under my own name. I wrote two this week!

#killing

Hard, gory work it is, killing trees
Sawing through green bones
Twisting forearms from elbows
Peeling tough skin from milky flesh
Sticky with sap blood and sweat
There’s a sap heart in the trunk too
Beating long in the stumped remains
Drawing life from the roots in vain

#baked

Nocturnes echoing through his car and mind, baked like bread and just as buttery, he crested the hill and saw the sun bleed into the sea. This was the last true summer of his life, and he knew it. His final draw he drew with ease. Letting it out was a little harder.

The Jerk’E’Club

I write the Tales of the Jerk’E’Club blog series for the Jerk’E’Club.

We posted chapter 6 this week!

Conclusion

After drafting the Oracle of Aegis Isle last fortnight, this fortnight was all about playtesting the adventure, working with artists to get the battlemaps and other internal art finished, and generally enjoying myself a little; this included playing a bit of D&D in other people’s games, which was a blast. Other than that, I’m looking to tie off some other projects before starting anything else. Taking on side projects is always tempting, though if I can stave off the urge to download RuneScape, I can stave them off too.

Thanks for reading ❤
